Papers of George LAMBRIGHT of Copiah County MS
I am connected to the descendants of Guy Drock, enslaved by my ancestor Benajah Bushnell in the early eighteenth century. I have ancestors from a century later who also were enslavers, and it would be one of the great joys of my life (as it would have been for my maternal grandmother, whose ancestors these all were) to meet descendants of members of my ancestors' households. They all lived in Mississippi and Louisiana and I have clear records of ownership and names, and have traced the descendants of three former slave families down almost to the present day.
Slaves listed in the estate papers of George Lambright at Copiah County, Mississippi on 25 Sep. 1835:
Sam (went to Isaac Lambright)
Prince (went to John Lambright)
Randall (went to Lewis Lambright; has living descendants)
Harry (went to Susan Lambright)
Jack (went to James Lambright)
Charity (went to George Lambright, Jr.)
Hannah and child (went to Mary Anding)
Mary (went to William Lambright)
Phebe (went to Benjamin Franklin Lambright)
Isabella (went to David Lambright's heirs)
